How to spend a day in Cold Spring, New York

Kierstyn

Cold Spring, New York is one of the cutest little towns I’ve ever visited. Its astonishing mountain views, old antique shops & its beautiful scenic riverfront views are some of the many reasons this little town was one of my favorite travel destinations. Growing up I used to watch a show called Gilmore Girls, incredible show by the way, where a mom and a daughter lived in this cute little town that took place in Connecticut. When I arrived in Cold Spring, New York I felt like I was on the set of Gilmore Girls. The little gazebo on the river, the shops along the Main Street, it all reminded me of a show I love so much.

As for spending a day in Cold Spring, a must do on your list should be to walk up and down its historic Main Street where you will find tons of shopping and restaurants.

-As you're strolling down Main Street stop into the General Store where you will find some of the cutest antique gifts

-Stop in for a slice of delicious pizza at Cold Spring Pizza

-After you’re done with all the shopping and eating take a stroll down to the waterfront and take in the most breathtaking views.

-Sit in the gazebo at Dockside Park and eat some delicious ice cream from Moo Moo’s Creamery.

-Capture some photos of the old fashioned vine covered building, The Pig Hill Inn

-Kayak along the Hudson River and see Cold Spring from a whole different perspective

This adorable little town will leave you feeling happy and wanting to come back. If you’re a big city person and need a getaway from the fast paced life than this is definitely a place to visit. This town is a place I’ve always dreamed of going to and I was given the perfect experience while there. I highly recommend traveling here for a weekend getaway where you can experience a whole lot more.
